Performance Punishment

Performance Punishment is when people rely on you too much because you can.

As soon as people learn you know what you're doing, you're going to be the new work dad/mom/parent. Performance Punishment is because you do well, others rely on you more than they should or you receive too much work. Usually it starts with people needing help or testing you by asking you to help with something. When you make it look easy, they just start throwing everything your way. You end up in bad positions and you end up doing the job of your co-workers.

The only way out is leaving or setting boundaries. There's a sweet spot at first when you complete the tasks and you're appreciated. Others think they can give you all the hard work. When you set your boundaries for say no. They will hate you. If you stay, just get used to people talking shit about you once in a while. Consider being mediocre and not feeling bad about it.
